Coronavirus (COVID-19) Student Update May 12, 2020

We hope all of our student, their families and friends are staying healthy and safe.

The Pennsylvania Governor’s plan to reopen the state is utilizing a three-phase matrix (Red, Yellow, and Green) to determine when counties and/or regions are ready to begin easing some restrictions on work, congregate settings, and social interactions.

The red phase has the sole purpose of minimizing the spread of COVID-19 through strict social distancing, non-life sustaining business and school closures, and building safety protocols.

WTTI is located in Lehigh County which is currently in the Red Phase.

The yellow phase eases some restrictions on work and social interaction, while schools remain closed for “in-person” instruction, as well as gyms, other indoor recreation centers, hair and nail salons, and limitations around large gatherings remain in place.

As of May 8th, several counties in the northwest and north-central regions of the state have entered the yellow phase.

The green phase eases most restrictions by lifting the stay at home and business closure orders to allow the economy to strategically reopen while continuing to prioritize public health.

The change of phase in each county or region appears to be linked in great part to the number of cases in their individual locale. Therefore, specific dates have not been assigned to individual counties or regions.

Additional info regarding these phases can be found on the PA governor’s website:

Please continue to monitor WTTI’s webpage for further updates, which will be provided as new information becomes available.

We are moving forward with anticipation toward the day that we are permitted by the governor and state Department of Education to reopen the doors of WTTI to our students, and help them again move ahead with their future.

Thank you and stay safe!
