| PT Inspection | Performed using visible or fluorescent dye to flaws open to the surface. PT can be
used on both non-ferrous and ferrous metals.
|
| MT Inspection | Detects surface and subsurface discontinuities in ferrous materials by applying a magnetic field and ferromagnetic powder. |
| VT Inspection | Most commonly used NDT method. Requires minimal equipment and complete access to facilitate inspection. |
| UT Inspection | Volumetric inspection method using ultrasonic waves. Requires direct contact with inspection area and can be done using straight beam, shear wave, or as thickness measurements. |
| RT Inspection | Volumetric inspection method using radiation. WTTI’s enclosed X-ray cabinet is 44” deep x 51” wide x 56’’ high. Steel specimens up to 3” thick and aluminum specimens up to 12” thick can be examined. WTTI can produce film or digital x-ray images. |
| Certified Welding Inspection | Performed and qualified in accordance with American Welding Society codes and standards. Common QA/QC services include:
